Consulting Experience

Chris is a Director of ROCG Prospero Consulting Ltd providing UK based consulting services.

He is also Managing Director of a business consultancy with offices in Manchester, London and Milan. Its business is focused on providing project management and consultancy solutions to Privately Owned Growth Enterprises (POGEs) operating in the UK or continental Europe who wish to develop inward or outward investment in those regions.

Chris is also the senior partner of an Italian firm of consultants with a network of offices in Italy including Rome and Milan.

He has over twenty years consulting experience. This has included providing strategic planning advice to an international management consultancy, pre-acquisition strategic assessment and post-acquisition development and support for international corporations, human resources development and strategy, corporate finance services, exit strategy planning and grooming businesses for sale as well as diagnostic reviews of other businesses to assist them in setting a strategic plan.

Representative consulting experience includes:

• Investigated UK branded businesses in the white goods market to target for acquisition, investigating suitable targets and advising the International Board of the acquiring company on issues and pricing of the transaction.
• Conducted strategic review into opportunities for direct retailing in the UK for a leading branded food business, subsequently negotiating a related joint venture agreement with two unrelated parties and project managing the post completion arrangements to a successful conclusion.
• Conducted diagnostic business reviews on numerous assignments for POGES across various industry sectors including multiple retailing, fashion, media, commodity broking, professional services and manufacturing. Subsequently assisted directors with setting and implementing strategic business plans.
• Developed personnel development programmes of appraisal and training for a UN agency and for an international financial services business (resulting in major achievements in improved retention rates, examination success and productivity).

Additional Experience

• Managing partner with international mid-sized accounting firm in London.
• Became international development partner involving the delivery of inward and outward investment services for a range of clients, both listed and POGEs.
• Developed international consultancy business with network of offices in Italy and contacts throughout Europe.
• Joint Head of the Audit Faculty of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales with responsibility for its strategic development.
• Chairman of international group of accounting institutes examining the development of services and innovation for the profession.
• Chaired conference in Paris and lectured in London and San Francisco for the AICPA
• Appeared in video and on National radio as AICPA expert on Internet assurance services.
